A little piece of home in Paris

by - 23:48

I left my home country Slovakia nearly eleven years ago therefore I haven't celebrated Easter in the traditional way for quite some time. Every country has its own culture and habits especially when it comes to public holidays and it seems that nowadays, Easter is more about chocolate than anything else.

The more I was delighted to find a "little bit of home" in the heart of Paris and couldn't take my eyes off dozens of traditional Slovak Easter eggs. They are not chocolate but colourfully designed eggs and one can take over three hours to decorate.

Zuzana Bojnanska from "Les Enfants du Danube" foundation, who is organising this event to help children from Children's Homes, told me that Slovak Easter eggs are very popular in France.
I took a few pictures to share this wonderful tradition with you, hope you will like them as much as me.
