Lucky first of May

EN: My first May 1st in Paris surprised me with a sweet French tradition. On this day people give each other a small sprigs of Lilies of the Valley as a lucky charm and for the first time I got one too!
A quick search on the Internet revealed that this tradition started in 1561 when King Charles IX of France received a Lily of the Valley as a lucky charm and decided to offer one each year to all the ladies of the court. From now on I will happily take part in this tradition, who doesn't need a bit of luck :)
SK: Moj prvy 1.maj v Parizi ma prekvapil jednou velmi milou Francuzskou tradiciou.
