Christmas dinner

r EN: I couldn't wait for my first Christmas in France, to discover their traditions, food and what Christmas means in this part of the World. I found out that, just like anywhere else, the most important thing is to be together and that is why we drove 400km to the heart of France, Auvergne, so that we can sat down at the Christmas table together with friends and family. The French Christmas dinner is very different from the Slovak one. We started with homemade ohh so delicious! Foie gras made by Didier who is a professional cook, followed by oysters (I am not ready for this step yet!) and the most delicious duck I've ever tried (I must have that recipe!). Of course there is no dinner without cheese (the stinkier the better!) and for dessert we had the traditional La Bûche de Noël, yum! We drank champagne and/or red wine and talked, laughed and enjoyed each others company until the early hours. Simply perfect Christmas! :)

SK: Nemohola som sa dockat mojich prvych Vianoc vo Francuzsku, objavit ich tradicie, jedlo a co znamenaju Vianoce v tejto casti sveta. Samozrejme neexistuje ziadna francuzska vecera bez syra (cim smradlavejsi, tym lepsi!) a ako dezert sme mali tradicny La Bûch de Noël (vianocne poleno), Mnam! Pilo sa sampanske a/alebo cervene vino a az do skorych rannych hodin sme sa rozpravali, smiali a uzivali si spolocnost jeden druheho. Dokonale Vianoce! :)
