Christmas market at Trocadéro

Le Marché de Noël du Trocadéro
EN: I like love food! I think it's in the family (my sister is a chef, my dad had a restaurant, my mom is the best cook in the world)! Unfortunately, I am not talking about salads and such (unfortunately because I don't like salad BUT would really love to like it :) I cannot even go on a diet.. oh, how I would love to eat lettuce and tomatoes sometimes.. unimaginable for me. I prefer meat, sauces, dumplings and sausages, all in moderation of course. So when I heard about the Slovak stand at the Christmas market at Trocadéro, I went there hoping to see and eat some traditional delicacies that I miss so much. They had everything! Grilled smoked sausage with cucumber, horseradish and bread, traditional cabbage soup, delicious grilled smoked cheese, homemade poppy seed cake, Tatra tea and more. We ate so well and for a moment I felt like at home. Fortunately my (french) boyfriend also loves Slovak cuisine so we both enjoyed our meals while listening to ELAN (Slovak legendary band), simply beautiful! I must also mention the Hungarian stand because their food is also amazing. World famous Hungarian Gulas or roast goose are my favourite dishes, so worth trying! The market is open until January 5, so if you want to taste some Slovak food, make sure you'll go with an empty stomach :) Bon Appétit!

SK: Mam rada zboznujem jedlo!
