Be Mine Valentine

Le Sourire de Saïgon, restaurant, Montmartre EN: Our Valentine's day was perfect and exactly what we both wanted, sushi from our favourite restaurant, romantic movie, candles and the two of us. We didn't go out for dinner, because during the week Jeremie surprised me with a wonderful pre-Valentine's dinner in a Vietnamese restaurant, Le Sourire de Saigon, in the Montmartre area. From the moment I stepped inside, I was completely charmed by the restaurant's warm ambiance, huge Buddha at the entrance and candlelight. The interior is very stylish, we sat at the table right next to a massive golden Buddha, pleasant music and traditionally dressed (and beautiful) waitresses were serving us. As an appetizer, we ordered Nem au porc (pork rolls) and Rouleaux de printemps aux crevettes (spring rolls with prawns) followed by the beef curry and the Travers de porc caramélise (caramelised pork ribs) with sticky rice served in a bamboo stick as main courses. The food was amazing and beautifully presented! We both ordered the fruits en beignets flambés au rhum (fruit fritters flambéed in rum) for dessert, yum! If you'd like to try a taste of Vietnamese cuisine, I recommend you book a table in advance, as the restaurant is not too big, which makes it all the more cosy and romantic. I wish you all a happy belated Valentine's day! :)

SK: Nas Valentin bol perfektny a presne taky, aky sme ho obaja chceli. Sushi z nasej oblubenej restauracie, romanticky film, sviecky a my dvaja. Nesli sme na veceru, pretoze pocas tyzdna ma Jeremie prekvapil s uzasnou pred-Valentinskou vecerou vo vietnamskej restauracii Le Sourire de Saigonu blizko Montmartre. Ako predjedlo sme si objednali Nem au Porc (bravcove rolky) a Rouleaux de Printemps aux crevettes (jarne zavitky s krevetami) a hlavne chody sme mali hovadzie kari s lepkavou ryzou a Travers de porc caramélise (skaramelizovane bravcove rebierka ) s lepkavou ryzou podavanou v bambusovej tycinke. Jedlo bolo uzasne chutne a krasne prezentovane! Na zaver sme si dali dezert fruits en beignets flambés au rhum (ovocne lievance flambovane v rume), mňam! Odporucam vam rezervovat si stol dopredu, ak by ste chceli vyskusat chute vietnamskej kuchyne, lebo restauracia nieje prilis velka, co ju robi o to viac utulnou a romantickou. Prajem vam stastny a trosku oneskoreny Valentin! :)
