Dubai Diary #4 Desert Safari

Desert Safari, DubaiEN: The 4WD dune bashing was something both of us wanted to try. There are many companies to choose from (too many I would say) and prices vary. After a little research, we finally went for the Arabian Nights ToursWe were picked up from our place at around 4pm by an english speaking guide who took great care of us throughout the whole evening. The desert is about an hour drive from the city and after a few stops (had to deflate the tyres before entering the desert), we finally reached the dunes at sunset. It was breath taking and I loved the warm sand (black/ginger coloured), hot air, the amazing desert landscape, simply stunning! Our driver was very experienced and when we told him we are ready for a show he did indeed showed us his skills! We dived into the sand and it was fabulous, thrilling and a bit scary at times (especially when I saw the other car in front of us that looked like it's going to roll down on every single dune, made me grab the handle a bit tighter). I'm a bit ashamed to admit that the first thing I though about was if I'll be able to eat all the food waiting for us at the camp haha and I would like to say that this "activity" is definitely not for someone with motion sickness! After 30 minutes of dune bashing we arrived at the camp and enjoyed delicious barbecue under the stars (no problem to eat at this point), while watching a traditional dance followed by fantastic belly dancing, seriously what the dancer could do with her stomach, I loved it! There was henna tatoos, camel rides, opportunity to try on a native dress, aromatic shisha and a lovely atmosphere. We came back to our apartment tired but happy at around 9pm and if you're going to Dubai, we definitely recommend this unique desert experience. xx Desert Safari, DubaiDesert Safari, DubaiDesert Safari, DubaiDesert Safari, DubaiDesert Safari, DubaiDesert Safari, DubaiDesert Safari, DubaiDesert Safari, DubaiDesert Safari, DubaiDesert Safari, DubaiDesert Safari, DubaiDesert Safari, DubaiDesert Safari, DubaiDesert Safari, DubaiDesert Safari, DubaiDesert Safari, Dubai

  3. Just by looking at your lovely pictures makes me envy your adventure in Dubai. You are natural in taking beautiful photos and sceneries of Dubai. My husband dreamed of these sands. He wants us to visit Dubai this Christmas. He is busy looking some deals in CityCard Dubai. Hopefully we can really be there this holiday.
