My Favourites

When someone asked if I can talk about a few things people don't know about me, I hesitated for a moment. I think I'm more of an open book for those close to me and whether I'm happy or sad, nervous, stressed or excited my facial expressions always give me away (however hard I try to stay cool and on top of things). But after I gave the question deeper thought, I came up with five things (in no particular order) that might come to you as a surprise, although I wouldn't bet on it! :)

And because this blog is all about my photography journey rather than writing skills (I actually don't like to write in English that much! even after 10 years in London and finishing my University degree in english, my written English is..... let's just say, I'm not very proud of it), I'll try my best to open up about a few of my favourite things in life, you might not know about.

The first one is... surprise, surprise..... I spend most of my money on food

My father had a restaurant (his specialty was a grilled trout), my sister is a chef in this dreamy place that I miss so much! (she's been working there for over 8 years now and I used to go and visit twice a year but didn't get the chance to go last year), and of course my mum is the best cook in the whole world!

Me on the other hand, I inherited an appetite!

I love to eat, sometimes cook and will never give up on my baking attempts (pretty much a disaster every time I try again! the same recipe). Dinner is my best kind of a date :) Diet is a word I thought of exploring maybe once or twice in my life, but gave up before I could think about it for longer than a minute. I will never be able to be on a diet, rather healthier and more balanced food is something I try to do lately (as my jeans got a bit tighter than last year). That's why I started ordering salad with my fries after I turned 30!

Paris is a perfect place for indulging in my guilty pleasure and after two and a half years in the city of lights, I can share with you some of my favourite places (although quite obvious ones if you follow me on Instagram).

#1 La Cour Jardin, Hotel Plaza Athénée
-for their impeccable service, always fresh ingredients beautifully presented and when you feel like you deserve a little treat!
