Afternoon Tea
Some places have a certain "wow" factor when you enter their premises and the Peninsula got me completely by a surprise. This was the first time I visited the hotel and loved it straight away. Gorgeous spacious lobby, so bright and inviting with a grand piano in the corner. I slowly made my way to Le Lobby, a former grand dining room restored to the style of the Belle Epoque era, where I was meeting a friend for an afternoon tea. You probably know by now how much I love my tea time moments and when accompanied with a life jazz band playing the smoothest tones, I honestly don't need more to be happy. The tea was absolutely delicious consisting of traditional scones, finger sandwiches and collection of cakes in the cutest easter shapes I've ever seen! A pretty fabulous start to my b'day week let me tell you. Oh, and I can't forget the 50 minute pure facial-bliss at their Spa I was treated to. I wish I could've stayed longer and enjoy the pool as well but I'm sure I'll be back pretty soon as I haven't seen yet the L'Oiseau Blanc restaurant I've heard of so many times! I'm afraid there is more from my b'day week on its way but I hope you won't mind that much haha. Happy Monday to you all. xx
